20160608_162004_resizedBE A SEA-WEEDER! We have our wall of algae up & running now & it’s KIDS VS. ADULTS here all summer long! All reading that’s tracked and reported by both groups will earn 1″ of SEAWEED growth per 1 hour of reading! Let’s SEA who can get their seaweed to grow the most!!!!!!
20160608_162036_resizedSATURDAY JUNE 18th is, of course, the first (of many, we hope) Winneshiek Landing Days here in De Soto! Cottonwood Park will be busting with all sorts of vendors, fun & history. In addition, at the LIBRARY we will have a bike safety skills presentation at 11:00 AND we will be honoring ‘International Knit In Public’ day from 12:00 to 2:00. Bring along your knitting or crocheting and a lawn chair (if you don’t want to use a folding chair). We’ll sit out and enjoy the nice weather and refreshments. Indoors if rainy.
And our Vernon County Read-Along is coming along well; our 7 copies of “Ordinary Grace” by William Kent Kruger are going out as fast as they come back in! August 18th will be our local book discussion on the book and August 25th will be the author presentation in Viroqua! Stop by any Vernon County Library for information about this event & read the book!20160608_162021_resized
