Dr. Suess Cleans House

Actually, I am cleaning house, and as I worked to bar-code the children’s section these past 2 weeks, I’ve found plenty of well-loved items that have seen their heydey pass, including our Dr. Seuss collection. Anybody who’s visited us on Wednesdays this summer likely knows my fondness for Dr. Seuss, so I made it a priority to do some serious updating on that collection.

I’m happy to announce that just today, we’ve received new copies of the following Dr. Seuss books, with more are yet to arrive:
-The Cat in the Hat Comes Back
-The Cat’s Quizzer
-Dr. Seuss’s Sleep Book
-Fox in Socks
-How the Grinch Stole Christmas
-Hunches in Bunches
-I Can Read With My Eyes Shut
-Marvin K. Mooney Will You Please Go Now
-Thidwick the Big-Hearted Moose
-500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins

If you haven’t checked out any Seuss in a while due to their lackluster appeal, then come check out these Brand-Spanking New copies!

Are there other favorites we have that are looking past their prime? Books that are checked out often do wear out, so please point these titles out so we can replace them. While I am regularly cleaning and weeding, I do rely on the patrons to be my eyes and ears to things they’ve used (dvd scratched, page torn in book) as well.

Thanks again for another good month here at DPL. We look forward to an eventual end to the blasting heat and maybe having the windows open again in the fall!

-Cheryl
