Donate your thinned-out plants to the Bird Day Celebration!

As you may recall, last fall De Soto became a Bird City in Wisconsin.  The committee is planning a Migratory Bird Day and all area residents are invited to attend! More details about the day’s events to come, but we want to put out the call to all spring gardeners!

The bird day will also feature information on what to plant in your gardens to attract migratory birds.  If you want to thin out your current garden to make room for new plants, consider donating your thinned plants to the bird day’s Plant Sale!

Many perennials can be thinned & transplanted in the early spring & this is the time to do it!

Plants can be dropped off at the library prior to the day’s event. Please mark the plant so we know what it is (if it’s not obvious).  We’ll keep things watered & healthy between the library and Village office until the day of the event!

Any questions, call Carrie at the Village Office!
